Connecting Your ERP Source

Arcvue's financial actuals — your closed-month revenue and costs, open receivables and payables, payroll, and contract performance — come from your accounting system of record. Arcvue calls that your ERP source. This page shows an administrator how to choose it.

Who does this: an administrator, once, during setup — and again only if you change accounting systems.

Where it lives

  1. Open Admin → Configuration.
  2. Find the ERP Connection group.
  3. The ERP Type field is a dropdown listing every accounting system Arcvue can read from. Statements Source and Close Date Source, in the same group, finish the choice.

Choosing your source

Pick the system where you keep your books in ERP Type:

  • An external accounting system. Arcvue connects to it and pulls your general-ledger detail on a regular sync. Picking it here opens no prompt: enter the connection details in Connection String, in the same group, then save. (The setup wizard asks for them when you pick the system there.)
  • Arcvue Accounting. If you run Arcvue's own accounting product as your books, select it and you're done: there is no external connection to configure and no credentials to enter, because Arcvue is already reading its own general ledger.

Then say whose book your statements come from in Statements Source:

  • The ERP feed above rebuilds your income statement, balance sheet and contract actuals from the ERP Type system on every sync.
  • Arcvue Accounting — the posted book rebuilds them from the Arcvue Accounting general ledger, for every period it holds, while an external feed keeps running for everything else. This is the choice while you move your books into Arcvue.

Left empty, Statements Source follows the ERP feed, unless ERP Type is Arcvue Accounting, whose book is then the only one. Close Date Source says which system decides the months that are closed: the ERP feed on sync, Arcvue Accounting's own latest closed period, or an administrator here.

Save. From the next sync, Arcvue builds your FP&A actuals from the source you chose.

What happens after you connect

Arcvue brings your data into the platform on a regular sync, and your FP&A modules read it from there:

  • Financial Statements — the closed-month actuals on the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
  • Treasury — the open receivables and payables, payroll history, and revenue history behind the 13-week cash forecast.
  • Rate Targets — the posted actuals behind your indirect rates.
  • Contract portfolio — per-contract revenue and cost actuals.

The actuals refresh on each sync; the platform layers its forecast on top for months beyond your books-close date, the date Close Date Source decides. Changing the ERP source is an administrator action and takes effect on the next sync.

  • Tenant Configuration — every other setting on the same Admin → Configuration screen: company details, divisions and close dates, platform and AI settings, email and branding, and the covenant definitions.
  • Where Your Financial Data Comes From — a fuller map of the source and freshness of every number in Arcvue.
  • Financial Statements, Treasury, Rate Targets — the modules that read your actuals.
